Prof. WANG Qiang Visits ISSI-BJ to Strengthen Strategic Collaboration in Space Science
Prof. WANG Qiang, Acting Director General of the Center for Space Utilisation (CSU) at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, on July 22th, 2025, visited the International Space Science Institute - Beijing (ISSI-BJ) to discuss strategic collaboration initiatives between the two institutions. The meeting was attended by ISSI-BJ Executive Director, Prof. Richard de Grijs, ISSI-BJ Administrative Director and NSSC Deputy Director, Prof. DONG Xiaolong, and ISSI-BJ senior advisor, Prof. Fabio Favata. The institutional representatives discussed opportunities for joint projects, data sharing, and interdisciplinary research, including in the field of microgravity physics and the exploitation of observations obtained with the future Chinese Space Station Telescope. ISSI-BJ offers scientific expertise and an international network of leading space scientists that is uniquely complementary to CSU’s domestic leadership role in human spaceflight. This dialogue marks a significant step toward fostering long-term cooperation in China's growing space science ecosystem.
